The Texas Steak Cookoff is an annual initiative introduced by Hico’s Original Texas Steak Cookoff Committee and the City of Hico to promote economic growth and tourism. Hico’s Original Texas Steak Cookoff Committee is a nonprofit organization. The Cookoff is held every year on the third Saturday in May.
