After years of playoff heartbreak Kyle Larson has secured his deepest run in the NASCAR playoffs. Larson took control in the second half Sunday, leading 151 of the final 157 laps to win at Dover. The victory advanced him to the Round of Eight for the first time in his career. It was also his first on the Monster Mile where he had been runner-up two times previously. Martin Truex Jr. couldn’t quite track Larson down late and settled for second. The top six spots were held by playoff contenders including Alex Bowman third, Kevin Harvick fourth, Denny Hamlin fifth, and Kyle Busch sixth.
