Over a thousand screaming fans made Kevin Fowler feel right at home on stage at the all new Yard in West 7th, formerly the Capital Bar, in Fort Worth Saturday night. Brent Alexander did a great job warming up the crowd as a trio before Kevin came on around 10pm. Before the show I took the time to lose a couple games of Soccer Pool on the upstairs patio, but quickly redeemed myself with solid victories in Pac Man, mini golf, and ping pong. I was also a big fan of the swing seats, there’s something really cool about drinking a cold beer and watching live Texas music while sitting in a swing, and apparently I wasn’t the only one because the second one would pop open there was a mad dash to fill it. The newly remodeled venue also had a great selection of food trucks parked out front (Heim BBQ, Salsa Limon, and Crazy Burger). Plus, the Yard is pet friendly and even features a mini dog park.
