Ranch Factor 2019

Help 95.9 The Ranch pick the next big thing in Texas Music as Ranch Factor returns for 2019! To compete, fill out the registration form below!  The Ranch Factor champion walks away with studio/production time with the award winning Bart Rose at Fort Worth Sound, a merchandise package from Printed Threads, radio promotion contract with Blue Lark Entertainment, single release promotion on 95.9 The Ranch with in-studio interview and more!  Plus all competing bands will receive weekly promotion leading up to their performance.

Cheer on your favorite as they compete in a head to head, single elimination tournament every Tuesday night at the Railhead Smokehouse in Willow Park, 5:30pm – 7:30pm, July 9th through October 22nd!  Don’t go anywhere afterwards though, the Railhead has your live music taken care of each and every week following Ranch Factor.

Ranch Factor 2019 Official Rules and Regulations
Presented by 95.9 The Ranch

Eligibility

Entrants must not have a current recording contract.  Entrants must not have any contractual agreement that will prevent the band from fully participating in the competition. Participating bands must write and perform original music. The competition will consist of live performances on various Tuesday evenings July-October; bands must be available to perform on assigned dates. Entrants cannot be employed by or immediately related to employees of The Ranch Radio Group or any other “sponsors”, defined below.  95.9 The Ranch and Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify or render ineligible any entries based solely on their discretion.  95.9 The Ranch is not responsible for any incomplete entries or technical errors during the entry process, including but not limited to power outages, internet coverage issues, and technical difficulties.
 

How to Enter

Online Submission: No purchase necessary.  Entries accepted starting June 21, 2019.  Entrants must submit band name, contact name, email, phone number and legal link to YouTube video or audio recording of an original song online at www.959theranch.com.  KFWR, 95.9 The Ranch and Sponsors are not responsible for failed, incomplete, or technical errors in the entry process.  By submitting, participants are granting 95.9 The Ranch and Sponsors all rights regarding all photos, videos, and recordings submitted or taken in relation to the Ranch Factor competition for all media purposes. 

 

Selection

KFWR, 95.9 The Ranch will extend invitations regarding participation based on submisisons.  By accepting, participants are granting 95.9 The Ranch and Sponsors all rights regarding all photos, videos, and recordings submitted or taken in relation to the Ranch Factor competition for all media purposes.

Round 1:

Week 1 – 7/9/19 – (2) Bands perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 2, 1 band eliminated

Week 2 – 7/16/19 – (2) Bands perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 2, 1 band eliminated

Week 3 – 7/23/19 – (2) Bands perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 2, 1 band eliminated

Week 4 – 7/30/19 – (2) Bands perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 2, 1 band eliminated

Week 5 – 8/6/19 – (2) Bands perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 2, 1 band eliminated

Week 6 – 8/13/19 – (2) Bands perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 2, 1 band eliminated

Week 7- 8/20/19 – (2) Bands perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 2, 1 band eliminated

Week 8 – 8/27/19 – (2) Bands perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 2, 1 band eliminated

 

Round 2:

Week 9 – 9/3/19 – Week 1 & Week 2 band winners perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 3, 1 band eliminated

Week 10- 9/10/19 – Week 3 & Week 4 band winners perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 3, 1 band eliminated

Week 11- 9/17/19 – Week 5 & Week 6 band winners perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 3, 1 band eliminated

Week 12- 9/24/19 – Week 7 & Week 8 band winners perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 3, 1 band eliminated

 

Round 3:

Week 13- 10/1/19 – Week 9 & Week 10 band winners perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 4, 1 band moves on to wild card

Week 14- 10/8/19 – Week 11 & Week 12 band winners perform; 30-minute set; 1 band advance to Round 4, 1 band move son to wild card

 

Round 4:

Week 15 – 10/15/19 – Week 13 & Week 14 runner up bands perform; 30-minute set; 1 band moves on to the finales 1 band eliminated

 

Week 16 – 10/22/19 – Week 13, 14 & 15 WINNERS PERFORM; 20-mnute sets; 1 band crowned the winner.

Judging Criteria

Attendance/ On-site votes- Votes will be collected during each night’s performances and will count towards the popular vote.  Popular vote accounts for 40% of the overall judging criteria. 

Judges votes- Judges selected by 95.9 The Ranch will be on-site throughout the competition.  They will judge on the criteria of marketability in the Texas Music Scene, Instrumental Ability and Technicality, Vocal Ability, Song Writing, Crowd Interaction and improvement throughout the competition.  Judge’s vote accounts for 60% of the overall judging criteria.

 

95.9 The Ranch is not responsible for any technical errors in the voting or judging process that can reasonably be considered out of the control of the station.

 

The Station, all sponsors and affiliates have no liability for any injury or damage to either persons or property incurred by entering or participating in any contest and/or the use of any prize.

The station reserves the right to disqualify or render ineligible any entry based on its sole discretion.

The Station reserves the right to change, update, or amend any rules without prior notice.

By participating, all Entrants give the Station, Sponsors and affiliates unrestricted rights to any photos, video, recordings, information collected in relation to the contest for promotional or any use it deems appropriate without compensation.

By participating all entrants are agreeing to the Official Rules.

All prizes are non-transferable or assignable and cannot be redeemed for cash or other consideration, and no substitutes will be allowed except by Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value or nature if advertised prize is not available.  Each prize winner is responsible for compliance with all federal, state and/or local laws and regulations that apply, including, without limitation, payment of applicable taxes.  All expenses not specifically provided in the Ranch Factor prize package are the responsibility of the prize winner.
