NASCAR’s most popular driver wins one of the biggest races. Chase Elliott led 45 laps and was out front on the final lap when the caution flew for a crash on the backstretch. It’s win number four in his career, and they’ve all come in his last 25 starts. It is also the first 2019 win for any organization other than Joe Gibbs Racing or Team Penske. Elliott’s teammate Alex Bowman finished second, making for a big day at Hendrick Motorsports. And a couple of rookies posted their career best finishes as Ryan Preece came home third and Daniel Hemric fifth.
